Greek Mountain tea is widely consumed in Greece, as it is known to ail colds, aches and pains. It is also used as an antioxidant fever reducer, and as an anti-inflammatory.
Directions on how to make Greek Tea:
Break 1 stalk into 6 (2 inch long) pieces, including the flowers, leaves, and stems. Place in a pot with 1 1/2 cups of water and bring to a boil. Boil for about 5-10 minutes, or until it reaches a yellow/tan hue.The tea will become stronger and more flavorful the longer it steeps. Strain into cup once you’ve achieved desired intensity. Serve with sugar, lemon or Attiki Greek honey.
